2015–2020 Ford F-150 Car Stereo, Speaker & Dash Kit Fitment

A 2015–2020 Ford F-150 (13th gen) takes a single- or double-DIN aftermarket stereo with a Metra dash kit that replaces the factory 4.2" or 8" SYNC display, while a plug-and-play harness keeps your steering-wheel controls. Front-door speakers are commonly 6×9" (some configs 6.5") and rear doors are 6.5".

The 13th-gen Ford F-150 is everywhere in the Fraser Valley, and the factory 4.2" or 8" SYNC unit leaves a lot on the table — especially if you want wireless Apple CarPlay or Android Auto on a big screen. With the right Metra dash kit and a plug-and-play harness, you can drop in a modern single- or double-DIN receiver without cutting your truck's wiring or losing climate control. Below are the exact F-150 dash kits, harnesses and speaker rings we stock with live pricing. Want it done right the first time? We install F-150s every week at our Chilliwack shop.

2015–2020 Ford F-150 stereo upgrade — FAQ

What size speakers fit a 2015–2020 Ford F-150?

The front doors are commonly 6×9", though some cab/audio configurations run a 6.5" with an adapter. The rear doors (crew and super cab) take 6.5" speakers. Ford uses its own mounting locations, so a speaker ring or adapter is usually needed — we'll include the right one for your exact truck.

Can I put a double DIN / Apple CarPlay stereo in my F-150?

Yes. With a Metra dash kit like the 95-5820B (or the climate-control 95-5869CH / 99-5864CH variants), a 13th-gen F-150 takes a full double-DIN Apple CarPlay / Android Auto receiver in place of the factory 4.2" or 8" SYNC unit, with an OEM-style finish. Prefer a smaller deck? The 99-5820B single-DIN kit works too.

Will I lose steering-wheel controls or my backup camera?

No. A plug-and-play harness keeps your steering-wheel controls working, and a compatible head unit (often with an integration module on the 8" SYNC trucks) retains the backup camera and climate display. If your F-150 has the premium Sony amplified system, the Metra 71-5700 harness keeps the factory amp; 2018+ B&O systems can need a dedicated interface — just ask us.

What dash kit do I need for a 13th generation F-150?

For a double-DIN stereo, the Metra 95-5820B is the go-to. If your truck has single-zone climate, use the 95-5869CH; for dual-zone climate, the premium 99-5864CH. Want single-DIN? Use the 99-5820B. All are in stock above with live pricing — unsure which climate setup you have, call us and we'll confirm.
