New speakers only sound as good as the install holding them in. Bolt a great component set into a leaky factory door and you'll lose half the bass and most of the clarity to rattles, panel buzz and sound leaking out the back of the cone. At Audiomotivez in Chilliwack, a car speaker installation isn't just a swap — we seal the speaker to the door, add baffles and foam rings, deaden the panel, and tune the result so the upgrade is one you can actually hear.

What we upgrade

Why a speaker swap is more than swapping speakers

Replacing factory speakers is the most cost-effective audio upgrade most vehicles can get — but only when it's done properly. A car door is a terrible speaker enclosure: thin steel, big holes, and a wet inner skin that lets sound waves cancel themselves out. We treat the door as part of the speaker. That means sealing the mounting surface, fitting a baffle or foam ring behind the speaker, and adding sound deadening so the panel becomes a solid surface instead of a tin drum. The same speaker, installed this way versus dropped straight in, sounds like a different (and far more expensive) product.

Coaxial vs component — which one and why it matters

A coaxial (full-range) speaker puts the woofer and tweeter on one frame — simple, affordable, and a big jump over worn factory speakers. A component set splits the tweeter out so it can be mounted higher in the door or pillar, with a crossover feeding each driver the frequencies it handles best. The payoff is a wider soundstage and crisper highs that sit up at ear level instead of down by your knee. We'll tell you straight which one your vehicle and budget actually warrant — there's no point in a high-end component set if the install isn't done to match, and a well-installed coaxial beats a carelessly installed component set every time.

Why Fraser Valley drivers make the drive to Chilliwack

Anyone can drop a speaker in a hole. The reason customers come to us from Abbotsford, Mission, Langley, Surrey and across Greater Vancouver is the part you can't see: clean wiring, correct polarity, proper crossover placement, deadened panels and a quick tune before you leave. We do door speaker upgrades and full component installs on everything from daily commuters to trucks and project cars — and if you bought the speakers somewhere else, we'll still install them right.

Replace car speakers without losing your factory setup

You don't have to give up factory features to get better sound. We keep your steering-wheel controls, door chimes and any factory amplification or speaker integration working, adapt the harnesses cleanly, and leave the interior looking stock. The only difference you'll notice is how it sounds.

Speaker installation — common questions

How much does car speaker installation cost in Chilliwack?

Speaker installs are billed in half-hour blocks — $64.99 per 30 minutes if you buy the speakers from us, or $74.99 per 30 minutes for speakers you bring in. A straightforward front-door coaxial swap is usually quick; full component sets with crossovers, baffles and door deadening take longer and are quoted up front after a free consultation, so you always know the price before any panel comes off.

Can you install speakers I bought somewhere else?

Yes. We install customer-supplied speakers at our bring-your-own-gear rate. We'll check they physically fit your doors, add the right baffles or adapters, wire them with correct polarity and tune them before you leave so you get a professional result either way.

How long does a speaker upgrade take?

A front pair of coaxials is often done the same day in an hour or two. Full component sets — with tweeter mounting, crossovers, baffles and sound deadening front and rear — take longer. We give you a realistic time estimate with your quote.

Should I get coaxial or component speakers?

Coaxials put the woofer and tweeter on one frame — affordable and a big improvement over worn factory speakers. Components split the tweeter out so it can mount higher for crisper, more lifelike highs and a wider soundstage. We'll recommend the right choice for your vehicle, budget and how you listen — and a well-installed coaxial beats a carelessly installed component set every time.

Will I keep my factory features after replacing the speakers?

Yes. Your steering-wheel controls, door chimes and any factory amplification keep working. We adapt the harnesses cleanly and leave the interior looking stock — the only change you'll notice is the sound.
