Why a speaker swap is more than swapping speakers
Replacing factory speakers is the most cost-effective audio upgrade most vehicles can get — but only when it's done properly. A car door is a terrible speaker enclosure: thin steel, big holes, and a wet inner skin that lets sound waves cancel themselves out. We treat the door as part of the speaker. That means sealing the mounting surface, fitting a baffle or foam ring behind the speaker, and adding sound deadening so the panel becomes a solid surface instead of a tin drum.
