Return & Exchange Policy

1.1 — General Return Window

All eligible products may be returned within 30 days of the delivery date. After 30 days, all sales are final unless the product is covered under warranty (see Section 2).

1.2 — Eligibility Requirements

To qualify for a return or exchange, ALL of the following must be met:

  • The item must be in new, unused, uninstalled condition.
  • The item must be returned in its complete, original manufacturer packaging — including the original box, inserts, manuals, accessories, hardware, and any promotional items that shipped with the product. Items returned without original packaging will be refused — no exceptions.
  • You must obtain a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number from Audiomotivez before shipping anything back. Unauthorized returns will be refused.
  • The item must be returned with the RMA number clearly marked on the outside of the shipping box.
  • The product serial number (if applicable) must match the serial number on your original order. Mismatched serials will result in the return being refused.

1.3 — Items NOT Eligible for Return

The following items are non-returnable and non-refundable under any circumstances:

  • Products that have been installed, wired, mounted, or show any signs of use (screw marks, scratches, mounting residue, wire clippings, fingerprints on cones/surrounds, etc.).
  • Products missing their original manufacturer packaging — box, inserts, manuals, or accessories. No original box = no return.
  • Custom-order products or special-order items built or ordered specifically for your request.
  • Cut wire or cable (sold by the foot/meter) — all wire sales are final once cut.
  • Open-box, clearance, and refurbished items — these are sold as-is (see Section 1.7).
  • Products with blown, burnt, or physically damaged drivers, voice coils, or amplifier boards resulting from misuse, overpowering, or improper installation.
  • Subwoofer enclosures that have been mounted, loaded, or modified in any way.
  • Installation labour, services, and labour-related products — all installation services are non-refundable once work has commenced (see Section 5).
  • Gift cards and store credit.
  • Hazardous goods (lithium batteries, certain capacitors) — subject to additional shipping restrictions.
  • Products purchased through third-party financing providers — all financed orders are final sale.

1.4 — Return Shipping

  • The customer is responsible for all return shipping costs unless the item was received defective on arrival (DOA) or was shipped incorrectly by Audiomotivez.
  • For DOA or shipping error claims, Audiomotivez will provide a prepaid return shipping label at no charge.
  • Items must be shipped back using a trackable shipping method with insurance. Audiomotivez is not responsible for items lost or damaged during return transit.
  • Do NOT use the product's original retail box as the outer shipping container. Place the product in its original manufacturer box first, then pack that box inside a separate outer shipping box with adequate padding.
  • Do NOT discard your original packaging after purchase. If you throw away the box, you forfeit your ability to return the product.

1.6 — Refund Processing

  • Refunds will be issued to the original payment method used at the time of purchase.
  • Refunds are processed within 5–10 business days after the returned item has been received and inspected.
  • Original shipping charges paid at checkout are non-refundable unless the return is due to an error by Audiomotivez.
  • If you received free shipping on your original order and are returning for a non-defect reason, the actual outbound shipping cost incurred by Audiomotivez may be deducted from your refund.

1.7 — Open-Box, Clearance & Refurbished Items

All open-box, clearance, and refurbished items are sold "AS-IS" with no returns, exchanges, or refunds. These items are clearly labelled on the product listing.

1.8 — Exchanges

  • We offer exchanges for the same product only (e.g., wrong size, wrong impedance).
  • If you want to exchange for a different product, you must process a return and place a new order.
  • Exchange requests are subject to product availability.

1.9 — How to Initiate a Return

  1. Contact us at mo@audiomotivez.com or through the contact form on our website within 30 days of delivery.
  2. Provide your order number, the item(s) you wish to return, and the reason for the return.
  3. Wait for your RMA number and return instructions — do not ship anything before receiving these.
  4. Package the item securely in a separate outer box with all original contents.
  5. Ship using a trackable, insured shipping method to the address provided with your RMA.
  6. Once received and inspected, your refund or exchange will be processed within 5–10 business days.

Warranty Policy

2.1 — Manufacturer Warranty Coverage

All new products sold by Audiomotivez are covered by the original manufacturer's warranty. Audiomotivez is an authorized retailer for the brands we carry. Your purchase invoice serves as your proof of purchase for all warranty claims.

2.2 — Audiomotivez 30-Day Defect Support

  • If your product is found to be defective within 30 days of delivery, contact us and we will arrange a replacement or exchange at no charge.
  • DOA (Dead on Arrival) items discovered within 48 hours of delivery will be replaced with expedited priority and Audiomotivez will cover return shipping.
  • You must provide photos and/or video demonstrating the defect along with your RMA request.

2.3 — After 30 Days: Manufacturer Warranty

After the initial 30-day period, all warranty claims must be directed to the product manufacturer. Audiomotivez will provide contact information, a copy of your invoice, and assist with the warranty process.

2.4 — What Is NOT Covered Under Warranty

  • Improper installation — incorrect wiring, wrong impedance load, inadequate power supply, poor grounding, improper gain setting, or mounting errors.
  • Misuse or abuse — overpowering, clipping, mechanical overexcursion, or operating outside published specifications.
  • Physical damage — water/liquid damage, drops, impacts, fire, theft, vandalism, or vehicle accidents.
  • Modification or tampering — any product altered, repaired, or modified by anyone other than the manufacturer.
  • Normal wear and tear, environmental damage, or cosmetic degradation.
  • Consequential or incidental damages — Audiomotivez is not liable for vehicle damage, lost time, towing, installation labour costs by third parties, or indirect costs.

2.6 — Amplifier-Specific Warranty Requirements

Due to the high rate of amplifier failures caused by installation error, the following documentation is required for all amplifier warranty claims:

  • Photo of the amplifier installed in the vehicle showing power, ground, and remote connections.
  • Photo of the ground point (must be bare metal, sanded, with proper ring terminal).
  • Photo of amplifier settings (gain, crossover, bass boost, etc.).
  • Multimeter reading of voice coil impedance while connected to the amplifier (if subwoofer amp).
  • Photo/description of battery voltage at rest and during play.

Shipping Policy

3.1 — Processing & Handling Time

  • Orders are typically processed and shipped within 1–3 business days (Monday–Friday, excluding statutory holidays).
  • Orders placed after 2:00 PM PST may not be processed until the following business day.
  • Custom, special-order, or backordered items may require additional processing time.

3.2 — Free Shipping

Free shipping is available on qualifying orders over $499 CAD to addresses within Canada (standard shipping only).

3.3 — Shipping to the United States & International

  • Audiomotivez ships from British Columbia, Canada.
  • International orders may be subject to customs duties, import taxes, and brokerage fees — these are the sole responsibility of the customer.
  • International orders refused due to unpaid customs duties will be treated as a standard return and subject to restocking fees.

3.4 — Shipping Damage

  • Inspect your package upon delivery. If the outer packaging shows visible damage, note it with the carrier and take photos before opening.
  • Contact us within 48 hours of delivery with photos of the packaging and damaged product.
  • Claims filed after 48 hours may not be eligible for a shipping damage claim.
  • Do not discard the original shipping packaging until the claim is resolved.

3.5 — Lost or Stolen Packages

Once a package shows "Delivered" by the carrier's tracking, responsibility transfers to the customer. Audiomotivez is not responsible for packages stolen after confirmed delivery. We strongly recommend shipping to a secure address.

Price Match Policy

4.1 — Price Match Guarantee

Audiomotivez will match the current advertised price of an identical, in-stock item from any authorized Canadian retailer, subject to the following conditions:

  • Exact same brand, model, and condition (new vs. open-box).
  • Competitor must be an authorized dealer for the product.
  • Competitor's price must be currently displayed and publicly accessible — no private/member-only pricing, coupons, auction listings, or clearance/liquidation sales.
  • Price match applies to the product price only — does not include shipping, taxes, or bundle pricing.
  • Price match requests must be submitted before or within 7 days of your purchase.

4.2 — Price Protection

If Audiomotivez lowers the price of an item you purchased within 14 days of your order date, contact us and we will refund the difference to your original payment method.

Installation Services Policy

5.1 — Scope of Services

Audiomotivez offers professional 12V installation services at our location in Chilliwack, British Columbia. Services include: head unit installation, speaker installation, amplifier and subwoofer installation, remote start installation, and electrical work (Big 3 upgrades, secondary batteries, etc.).

5.3 — Lifetime Installation Labour Warranty

Audiomotivez warrants all installation labour for the lifetime of the product in the vehicle it was originally installed in. This labour warranty covers defects in workmanship only.

  • Applies only to the original vehicle and original owner. If the vehicle is sold or the product is transferred, the labour warranty is void.
  • Does NOT cover product defects, damage from subsequent modifications by others, vehicle electrical problems, accidents, or normal wear and tear.

5.2 — Pricing & Estimates

  • All installation pricing is provided as a written estimate before work begins.
  • A non-refundable 50% deposit is required to book your appointment. The remaining 50% is due upon completion.
  • Audiomotivez will notify you and obtain approval before proceeding with any work that exceeds the original estimate by more than 15%.

5.6 — Deposits, Cancellations & Refunds

  • The 50% deposit is non-refundable under all circumstances, including cancellations, no-shows, and rescheduling.
  • If Audiomotivez cancels or reschedules, your deposit will be fully refunded or applied to the rescheduled date.
  • Installation services are non-refundable once work has begun.
  • Vehicles must be picked up within 3 business days of installation completion. A storage fee of $25/day may apply after this period.

Privacy Policy

Audiomotivez collects personal information (name, address, email, phone number, payment details) only as necessary to process orders, fulfill shipments, and communicate with you about your order or account. We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties except as required to fulfill your order (e.g., shipping carriers, payment processors) or as required by law.

Terms of Service

7.2 — Product Information & Accuracy

While we strive for accuracy, Audiomotivez is not responsible for typographical errors, incorrect specifications, or inaccurate product images. In the event of an incorrect price listing, Audiomotivez reserves the right to cancel the order and issue a full refund.

7.3 — Limitation of Liability

Audiomotivez's total liability for any claim shall not exceed the original purchase price of the product. Audiomotivez is not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, punitive, or special damages, including vehicle damage, lost revenue, installation costs by third parties, or cost of substitute goods.

7.4 — Governing Law

All transactions and disputes are governed by the laws of the Province of British Columbia, Canada. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of British Columbia.

7.5 — Age Requirement

You must be at least 18 years of age (or the age of majority in your province/territory) to make purchases from Audiomotivez.
