2018–2024 Jeep Wrangler Car Stereo, Speaker & Dash Kit Fitment
A 2018–2024 Jeep Wrangler (JL) accepts a single- or double-DIN aftermarket stereo using a Metra 107-CH3B modular dash kit, with steering-wheel controls and the factory amp retained through a plug-and-play data harness. Factory speakers are small and non-standard (around 3.5" dash and 4" footwell, not 6.5") — confirm sizes with us.

The JL is not a drop-in 6.5" vehicle. Factory speaker sizes are small and non-standard (commonly cited around 3.5" in the dash and 4" in the footwells — some are labelled 4.5" but the real cone is smaller), and they vary between the base system and the premium Alpine system. Most JLs run a Uconnect data bus, so a basic radio harness alone may not retain steering-wheel controls or the factory amp — a data interface (Maestro) is the safe path. Tell us your exact year, trim and whether you have the Alpine system and we'll match the right parts.
Upgrading a JL Wrangler is its own animal — it's not the easy 6.5"-everywhere swap you get in a sedan. The factory radio is a Uconnect touchscreen, the speakers are oddly small, and premium Alpine trims add an amp and a 10" sub you don't want to lose. The good news: with the right Metra 107-CH3B modular kit and a data harness, a JL takes a clean aftermarket double-DIN with Apple CarPlay while keeping your steering-wheel controls. Below are the exact dash kits, harnesses and soundbar adapter we stock for the '18–'24 Wrangler — or bring it to our Chilliwack shop and we'll handle the Uconnect side for you.

2018–2024 Jeep Wrangler stereo upgrade — FAQ
What size speakers fit a 2018–2024 Jeep Wrangler?
The JL is not a standard 6.5" vehicle. From the factory the dash/instrument-panel speakers are small (commonly cited around 3.5") and the footwell woofers around 4", and sizes differ between the base system and the premium Alpine system. The overhead soundbar uses small 3.5"/4" drivers — but with a JL soundbar adapter (Metra JP-1016) you can fit proper 6.5" coaxials up top. Because Jeep changed sizes across years and trims, send us your exact year, trim and whether you have Alpine and we'll confirm the right speakers — don't assume 6.5" front doors.
Can I put a double DIN / Apple CarPlay stereo in my Wrangler?
Yes. With the Metra 107-CH3B modular dash kit, an '18–'24 JL takes a full double-DIN Apple CarPlay / Android Auto receiver in the factory location with a clean matte-black finish. For a smaller stereo, the 99-6518B single-DIN kit works too. The one thing to plan for is the factory Uconnect data bus — pair the kit with a data harness (below) so the new stereo plays nicely with the rest of the Jeep.
Will I lose my steering-wheel controls or backup camera?
No — but the JL needs the right harness to keep them. Most '18–'24 Wranglers run a Uconnect data bus, so a basic radio harness alone may drop steering-wheel controls, the factory amp or the backup camera. The Maestro HRN-HRR-CH1 data T-harness retains your steering-wheel controls and, on premium Alpine trims, keeps the factory amp and 10" subwoofer working. We program it to your Jeep when we install.
What dash kit do I need for a JL Wrangler?
For a double-DIN stereo the Metra 107-CH3B shallow/modular kit is the one — it's the standard fit for the '18-and-up Jeep platform including the JL Wrangler. For a single-DIN stereo use the Metra 99-6518B. Both are in stock above with live pricing. Avoid older Wrangler kits (the '97–'02, '04–'06 and '11–'17 kits) — those fit the TJ and JK, not your JL.
Can Audiomotivez install it for me?
Absolutely — and on a JL we'd recommend it, because the Uconnect data side is fiddly. We install Jeep Wranglers at our Chilliwack shop for customers across the Fraser Valley — Abbotsford, Mission, Langley and Greater Vancouver. Order the parts online for a DIY install, or book an install and we'll handle the dash kit, data harness and amp retention. Call 604-792-4070.
