2014–2021 Toyota Tundra Car Stereo, Speaker & Dash Kit Fitment

A 2014–2021 Toyota Tundra (2nd gen) accepts a single- or double-DIN aftermarket stereo using a Metra dash kit, with steering-wheel controls retained through a plug-and-play harness. Front-door speakers are 6×9"; rear-door speakers are 6.75" (6.5"). JBL-amplified trims need an amp-retention interface.

The 2nd-gen Tundra uses large 6×9" front-door speakers and 6.75" (commonly mounted to fit 6.5") rear-door speakers — a speaker adapter is usually needed. If your door speakers carry a JBL logo you have the amplified JBL system, which needs an amp-retention interface. Not sure which you have? Send us your VIN or trim and we'll confirm in a minute.

The 2nd-generation Toyota Tundra is a great truck to modernize — the factory Entune dash pulls out cleanly and the right Metra kit drops in a single- or double-DIN aftermarket stereo, so you get Apple CarPlay or Android Auto without cutting the dash. One Tundra quirk worth knowing: the front doors run large 6×9" speakers, so a fresh set of front speakers makes a real difference. 2014–2021 Toyota Tundra stereo upgrade — FAQ

What size speakers fit a 2014–2021 Toyota Tundra?

The front doors use large 6×9" speakers — bigger than most cars, so a front-door upgrade is one of the best-value changes you can make. The rear doors take 6.75" speakers (most 6.5" aftermarket speakers fit with the right adapter). Toyota uses a unique speaker mount, so a mounting adapter like the Metra 82-8152 is usually needed — we'll include the right one.

Can I put a double DIN / Apple CarPlay stereo in my Tundra?

Yes. With the Metra 99-8252 dash kit, a 2nd-gen Tundra takes a full double-DIN CarPlay / Android Auto receiver cleanly — the factory Entune radio comes out and the kit gives the new stereo an OEM-style finish. Want a big 8" screen instead? The Metra 108-TO1 Pioneer kits fit an 8" floating-display receiver.

Will I lose my steering-wheel controls or backup camera?

No. A plug-and-play harness keeps your steering-wheel controls working, and a compatible head unit retains the factory backup camera. If your Tundra has the JBL system (JBL logo on the door speakers, factory amp under the passenger seat), the iDatalink HRN-HRR-TO2 Maestro harness retains the amp and controls so you keep full factory sound.

What dash kit do I need for a 2nd generation Tundra?

For a standard single- or double-DIN stereo, the Metra 99-8252 is the kit you want — it covers 2014 and up. For a large 8" Pioneer floating-screen receiver, use one of the 108-TO1 kits (matte black, gloss black, or charcoal to match your interior). All are in stock above with live pricing.
