2014–2018 Chevrolet Silverado Car Stereo, Speaker & Dash Kit Fitment

A 2014–2018 Chevrolet Silverado accepts a single- or double-DIN aftermarket stereo using a Metra dash kit, with steering-wheel controls kept through a plug-and-play harness. Front-door speakers are 6.5" (6×9" on Bose trucks); rear doors are 6.5". Premium Bose trims add a factory amp that needs a bypass harness.

Speaker sizes vary by cab and audio package. Base trucks run 6.5" front and rear doors; Crew/Double Cabs may use 6-3/4" rear-door speakers, and factory Bose trucks use 6×9" front doors with a center-console subwoofer. Standard harnesses fit base audio only — Bose-equipped trucks need the amp-bypass harness. Tell us your cab style and whether you have Bose and we'll match the exact parts.

Ditching the dated MyLink screen in your 2014–2018 Silverado for Apple CarPlay or Android Auto is one of the most worthwhile upgrades you can make to the truck. The factory dash takes a clean single- or double-DIN receiver with the right Metra kit, so you keep an OEM look without hacking up the bezel. The catch is the audio package: base trucks wire up straight, but Bose-equipped trucks run a factory amp and console sub that need an amp-bypass harness. Below are the exact dash kit and plug-and-play harnesses we stock for your Silverado — or bring it to our Chilliwack shop and we'll handle the Bose side for you.

2014–2018 Chevrolet Silverado stereo upgrade — FAQ

What size speakers fit a 2014–2018 Chevrolet Silverado?

The front doors take 6.5" speakers, and so do the rear doors on most trucks — though Crew and Double Cabs can use a 6-3/4" rear-door speaker. Trucks with the factory Bose system run 6×9" front-door speakers plus a center-console subwoofer. Tell us your cab style and whether you have Bose and we'll match the exact fit, brackets included.

Can I put a double DIN / Apple CarPlay stereo in my Silverado?

Yes. With the Metra 99-3014G dash kit, a 2014–2018 Silverado takes a full double-DIN Apple CarPlay / Android Auto receiver with a clean OEM-style finish — and the same kit also supports a single-DIN deck. On trucks with the factory 8" display you can also go a direct-replacement route; ask us which fits your radio.

Will I lose my steering-wheel controls or backup camera?

No. A plug-and-play harness keeps your steering-wheel controls working, and a compatible head unit retains the factory backup camera. The one thing to watch is the factory Bose amp on premium trims — we use the 70-2057 amp-bypass harness (or an amp-retention interface) so you keep full sound after the swap.

What dash kit do I need for a (2014–2018) Silverado?

The Metra 99-3014G is the kit for this truck — it's a single/double-DIN gunmetal-grey kit made specifically for the '14-up Silverado and GMC Sierra. It's in stock above with live pricing. Pair it with the 71-2107 plug-and-play harness (base audio) or the 70-2057 amp-bypass harness (Bose).

Can Audiomotivez install it?

Absolutely. We install Silverados and Sierras every week at our Chilliwack shop, with customers driving in from across the Fraser Valley — Abbotsford, Mission, Agassiz and Hope. We handle the tricky Bose amp-bypass side so it's done right. Order the kit online for DIY, or book an install — call 604-792-4070.
