2013–2019 Ford Escape Car Stereo, Speaker & Dash Kit Fitment
A 2013–2019 Ford Escape accepts a single- or double-DIN aftermarket stereo using the Metra 99-5833B dash kit, which replaces the factory 4.2" screen radio. Front and rear door speakers are both 6.5". Steering-wheel controls are retained with a plug-and-play harness, and Sony-equipped trims keep their factory amp.

The dash kit is rated by Metra for 2013–2018 Escapes with the 4.2" screen radio — if you have a 2019 or are unsure of your screen type or Sony amp, send us your VIN and we'll confirm the exact fit before you order.
The third-generation Ford Escape hides an easy upgrade behind that small factory 4.2" screen. 2013–2019 Ford Escape stereo upgrade — FAQ
What size speakers fit a 2013–2019 Ford Escape?
Both the front and rear doors take 6.5" speakers on the 2013–2019 Escape. Ford uses its own speaker mount, so most installs need a 6.5" mounting bracket — we include the right adapter so your new speakers bolt straight in. If you have the Sony system, ask us about retaining the factory tweeters and amp.
Can I put a double DIN or Apple CarPlay stereo in my Escape?
Yes. With the Metra 99-5833B dash kit, a 2013–2019 Escape takes a full double-DIN CarPlay / Android Auto receiver in place of the small factory 4.2" screen. The same kit also fits a single-DIN stereo, and finishes off with an OEM-style look around the new unit.
Will I lose my steering-wheel controls or backup camera?
No. The plug-and-play harness (Metra 70-5524) keeps your steering-wheel controls working, and a compatible head unit retains the factory backup camera. On Sony-equipped Titanium trims with the factory amp and cargo subwoofer, we add the 71-5700 amp-retention interface so you keep full, balanced sound.
What dash kit do I need for a 2013–2019 Escape?
The Metra 99-5833B is the kit for 2013–2019 Escapes with the factory 4.2" screen radio — it works for both single- and double-DIN stereos and is in stock above with live pricing. Metra rates it for '13–'18; if you have a 2019, send us your VIN and we'll confirm the exact fit first.
