2016–2021 Honda Civic stereo upgrade — FAQ
What size speakers fit a 2016–2021 Honda Civic?
The front doors take 6.5" speakers. Rear speakers depend on body style — the sedan uses 6×9" in the rear deck, while the coupe and hatchback use 6.5" in the rear doors. Honda uses a unique speaker mount, so you may need a mounting bracket — we'll include the right one.
Can I install a double DIN Apple CarPlay stereo in my Civic?
Yes. With the Metra 95-7812B (or 99-7821B premium) dash kit, a 10th-gen Civic takes a full double-DIN CarPlay / Android Auto receiver cleanly. The kit replaces the factory display opening and gives the new stereo an OEM-style finish.
Will I lose my steering-wheel controls or backup camera?
No. A plug-and-play harness (Metra 71-1731 or 70-1731) keeps your steering-wheel controls working, and a compatible head unit retains the factory backup camera. On premium-audio trims with a factory amp, we add an amp-retention interface so you keep full sound.
What dash kit do I need for a 10th-gen Civic?
For a double-DIN stereo, the Metra 95-7812B is the go-to; the 99-7821B is the premium OEM-finish option for 2016–2021. For a single-DIN stereo, use the 99-7812B. All are in stock above with live pricing.
