2011–2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee Car Stereo, Speaker & Dash Kit Fitment

A 2011–2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee (WK2) takes a single- or double-DIN aftermarket stereo using a Metra dash kit, with steering-wheel controls retained via a plug-and-play harness. Front-door speakers are 6×9″ and rear-door speakers are 6.5″. 2014+ Uconnect touchscreen trims need an iDatalink Maestro module.

The WK2 uses an unusual layout: 6×9" in the front doors and 6.5" in the rear doors, plus small dash tweeters. Sizes and the dash tweeter spot vary a little by year and trim, and premium Alpine systems run a factory amp. If you're unsure of your exact trim, send us your VIN and we'll confirm the fit in a minute — confirm with us before ordering speakers.

Swapping the stereo in a WK2 Grand Cherokee is a clean, no-cut upgrade once you have the right Metra dash kit. Pre-2014 trucks take a straightforward single-DIN install, while 2014-and-up Uconnect touchscreen models add an iDatalink Maestro module so you keep the factory backup camera, steering-wheel controls, amp and chimes with a new CarPlay or Android Auto receiver. Below are the exact dash kits and plug-and-play harnesses we stock for your Grand Cherokee — add a head unit and you're set. Want it done right? 2011–2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee stereo upgrade — FAQ

What size speakers fit a 2011–2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee?

The WK2 uses a less common layout: 6×9" speakers in the front doors and 6.5" speakers in the rear doors, plus small dash tweeters. The dash tweeter spot and exact fit can vary a little by year and trim, so if you're unsure, send us your VIN and we'll confirm the right size and any mounting bracket before you order.

Can I put a double DIN / Apple CarPlay stereo in my Grand Cherokee?

Yes. With a Metra 99-6536BZ or 99-6536S dash kit, a 2014-and-up Grand Cherokee takes a full double-DIN CarPlay / Android Auto receiver with an OEM-style finish. Because these trims run the factory Uconnect touchscreen, you'll pair the kit with an iDatalink Maestro module so the new stereo plugs in cleanly and keeps your factory features.

Will I lose my steering-wheel controls or backup camera?

No. On 2014+ Uconnect trucks the iDatalink Maestro (HRN-HRR-CH1) harness retains your steering-wheel controls, factory backup camera, parking chimes and the factory amplifier with a compatible head unit. On earlier non-touchscreen trims, a plug-and-play Metra harness keeps the steering-wheel controls working. Premium Alpine systems keep full sound through the amp-retention interface.

What dash kit do I need for a WK2 Grand Cherokee?

For 2014–2021 (Uconnect dash), use the Metra 99-6536BZ (bronze) or 99-6536S (silver) premium S/Double-DIN kit. For a 2011 single-DIN install, use the 99-6513B; 2013-up single-DIN trims can use the 99-6518B. All are in stock above with live pricing. Not sure which dash you have? Send us your VIN.
