Which dash kit you need depends on your factory radio. If your Ram has the large 8.4" Uconnect touchscreen, you need a premium screen-replacement kit (shown below). If it has a standard radio with knobs, you'll use a basic double-DIN kit — message us and we'll match it. Speaker sizes are consistent across 2009–2018: 6×9" in the front doors and rear doors, plus 3.5" in the dash. Premium Alpine trims add a factory amp and sub — tell us if you have one.
The 2009–2018 Ram 1500 is a great truck to upgrade, but the right parts depend on one thing: your factory radio. Base trucks have a standard radio opening that takes a simple double-DIN kit, while trucks with the big 8.4" Uconnect touchscreen need a premium screen-replacement kit so a modern CarPlay / Android Auto stereo sits flush. Below are the in-stock dash kits and plug-and-play harnesses we carry for your Ram, with live pricing. Not sure which radio you have? Call us — we'll sort it in a minute, or book it in at our Chilliwack shop and we'll handle the whole job.

2009–2018 Ram 1500 stereo upgrade — FAQ
What size speakers fit a 2009–2018 Ram 1500?
Across the whole 2009–2018 run, the front doors and rear doors (Crew/Quad cab) both take 6×9" speakers, plus a pair of 3.5" speakers in the dash. The factory Alpine front doors are a shallow-depth 6×9, so we'll match speakers that physically clear the door — bring the truck by or send us your trim and we'll confirm.
Can I put a double DIN / Apple CarPlay stereo in my 1500?
Yes. With the correct Metra dash kit your Ram 1500 takes a full double-DIN CarPlay / Android Auto receiver. If your truck has the standard radio, it's a simple kit. If it has the 8.4" Uconnect touchscreen, you'll use the premium screen-replacement kit (95-6558B or 99-6527B above) so the new stereo sits flush with an OEM-style finish.
Will I lose steering-wheel controls or the backup camera?
No. A plug-and-play harness (Metra 70-6522, or the iDatalink Maestro HRN-HRR-CH3 for full data retention) keeps your steering-wheel controls working, and a compatible head unit retains the factory backup camera. On premium Alpine trims with a factory amp and under-seat sub, the Maestro interface keeps that system live too.
What dash kit do I need for a 2009–2018 1500?
It depends on your factory radio. Trucks with the large 8.4" Uconnect touchscreen use a premium screen-replacement kit — the Metra 95-6558B or 99-6527B shown above. Trucks with a standard radio use a basic double-DIN kit; that one isn't always in stock, so message us and we'll source the right one for your exact truck.
