2019–2024 Toyota RAV4 Car Stereo, Speaker & Dash Kit Fitment

A 2019–2024 Toyota RAV4 (5th gen) accepts a single- or double-DIN aftermarket stereo using a Metra dash kit that replaces the factory 7" or 8" touchscreen, with steering-wheel controls retained through a plug-and-play harness. Front and rear door speakers are 6.5". JBL premium trims add a factory amp.

Front and rear door speakers are 6.5" (a 6.75" coaxial also fits the door mounts). JBL premium trims add an amplifier, A-pillar tweeters, small dash mids and a cargo-area sub — those need an amp-retention interface and won't take a standard dash kit cleanly. Confirm your trim (base touchscreen vs. JBL) with us and we'll match it in a minute.

The 5th-generation RAV4 ships with a factory 7" or 8" touchscreen, and with the right Metra dash kit you can swap it for a single- or double-DIN aftermarket stereo — Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, a bigger screen — without butchering the dash. Below are the exact RAV4 dash kits we stock, with live pricing. Running the JBL premium system? It uses a factory amp and a cargo-area sub, so that one needs an amp-retention interface — talk to us first. DIY it, or have our certified techs do it at the Chilliwack shop.

2019–2024 Toyota RAV4 stereo upgrade — FAQ

What size speakers fit a 2019–2024 Toyota RAV4?

The front doors and rear doors both take 6.5" speakers — a 6.75" coaxial also fits the same door mounts. JBL premium trims add A-pillar tweeters, small dash mids and an 8" subwoofer in the cargo area. If you've got the base touchscreen, a straight 6.5" set is the easy upgrade; tell us your trim and we'll confirm the right size.

Can I put a double DIN / Apple CarPlay stereo in my RAV4?

Yes. The factory 7" or 8" touchscreen comes out and, with a Metra RAV4 dash kit (the 95-8242G for double-DIN, or the 99-8242G for single/double), a 5th-gen RAV4 takes a full double-DIN CarPlay / Android Auto receiver with an OEM-style finish. For a Pioneer 8" floating screen, use the 108-TO6HG kit.

Will I lose steering-wheel controls or the backup camera?

No. A plug-and-play wiring harness keeps your steering-wheel controls working, and a compatible head unit retains the factory backup camera. On JBL premium trims with a factory amp and cargo-area sub, we add an amp-retention interface so you keep full sound. We don't list a RAV4-specific harness online yet — we'll source the correct one for your build, just reach out.

What dash kit do I need for a 5th generation RAV4?

For a double-DIN stereo, the Metra 95-8242G is the go-to; the 99-8242G handles single- or double-DIN. For a 5th-gen-specific OEM-style fit, the 107-TO1HG modular kit, and for a Pioneer 8" floating screen the 108-TO6HG. All four are in stock above with live pricing.
