Product Details

Metra's 70-2042 is an amp bypass harness for 2002-2004 Buick Rendezvous models equipped with the factory amplified audio system. When you swap in an aftermarket radio, it takes the factory amplifier out of the circuit so the new head unit, or an amplifier you add, drives the speakers directly.

Amplified vehicles show RPO code UQ3 on the option sticker in the glove box, and the factory amp is mounted under the steering column on the driver's side. The harness provides separate leads for the front tweeters and subwoofer circuits. The factory amp handled the crossover duties, so plan to add crossovers for the tweeters and subs.
