Product Details

The Metra 70-2036 is an amp bypass harness for the 1997-2004 Buick Park Avenue. It suits 1997 cars with the Concert Sound III amplifier and 1998-2004 cars with RPO code U99, letting an aftermarket radio drive the speakers without the factory amp in between.

RPO codes are listed on the sticker in the glove box, and the factory amp is located under the rear deck toward the driver's side. The harness gives you leads for the front tweeters, the subwoofers and the center speaker. Since the factory amp contained the crossovers, use crossovers when bypassing it so the original speakers stay protected. Confirm fitment for your vehicle's trim and factory audio system before ordering, or book the install with our Chilliwack bay.
