Product Details

Metra's 70-2029 is an amp bypass harness for 1997-2002 Chevrolet Camaro coupes with the Bose amplified sound system. It removes the factory Bose amplifier from the circuit so an aftermarket radio can power the car's speakers directly.

Bose-equipped cars show RPO code U85 on the option list sticker, which can be in the glove box, under the trunk lid or in a door jamb. The factory amp is behind the passenger-side rear panel near the antenna. The harness gives you leads for the front tweeters and the rear subwoofer circuits.
