Product Details

This Metra harness is for 2000-2001 Chevrolet Cavalier and Pontiac Sunfire models that have the factory amplified sound system. It lets an aftermarket radio connect to the car while taking the factory amplifier out of the signal path.

To check for the amplified system, look for RPO code U85 on the option sticker in the glove box, door jamb or under the trunk lid. The factory amp handled the tweeter and subwoofer crossovers, so add crossovers when you bypass it to protect those speakers. Confirm fitment for your vehicle's trim and factory audio system before ordering, or book the install with our Chilliwack bay.
